Harriet Spears is a creative social impact leader, passionate about building a more equitable world. Harriet has 10 years’ experience in nonprofit management and brand strategy, having built award-winning advertising campaigns for Fortune 500 companies, as well as bespoke communication materials for grassroots nonprofits. Most recently, Harriet led fundraising and communications for the Women’s Global Education Project, where she raised $1MM+ annually to support community-led girls’ education initiatives in rural Senegal and Kenya. Under her fundraising leadership, WGEP received a major grant from Twitter & Block co-founder Jack Dorsey’s #startsmall initiative in 2021, and was featured in Forbes. Harriet has facilitated workshops on trust-based philanthropy at the Women’s Philanthropy Institute (WPI) Symposium and Opportunity Collaboration conference for global impact leaders.
