Larissa has over 20 years experience in the nonprofit/philanthropic arena that included over 3 years of living abroad. She began in 1997 as a Peace Corps volunteer in Namibia focusing on education, women and children’s health followed by an additional contract with the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA), in Tanzania working on an HIV/AIDS health information project.

Her subsequent career took her down a multitude of paths with positions and contracts for a variety of organizations including the United Nations Foundation, the International Women’s Health Coalition, United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), The Global Health Foundation, The Level Market and The Joyride Collective. Larissa has also worked on state and local issues with the Colorado Department of Healthcare Policy and Finance and the Colorado Coalition for the Medically Underserved. 

Larissa holds an MA in International Development with a certificate in Gender and Health from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at DU. She also has a BA from Duke University.
