As President & CEO of MetLife Foundation and Head of Corporate Giving, Employee Engagement, and Volunteerism, Tia leads the strategic allocation of nearly $40 million annually towards charitable endeavors. Her leadership at MetLife Foundation is marked by a profound commitment to enabling individuals and families to realize their utmost potential, fostering prosperity, and upholding lives with dignity. The Foundation’s global strategy is centered on addressing the escalating income and wealth divide through grants and impact investments, striving for inclusive economic mobility worldwide.


Tia is deeply engaged in the philanthropic landscape at both regional and national levels. Her commitment extends to active board memberships at Living Cities, Council on Foundations, Fundacion MetLife Foundation, and MetLife Korea Foundation. Additionally, she contributes her expertise as an Adjunct Professor at New York University, sharing insights and knowledge with future leaders.

Prior to her leadership role at MetLife Foundation, Tia served as the Senior Program Officer at the Citi Foundation, spearheading the Youth Economic Opportunity portfolio and Pathways to Progress initiative, a $100 million commitment dedicated to advancing workforce and economic mobility for young adults. Her responsibilities encompassed strategic portfolio management with a focus on workforce development, social innovation, mentoring, and financial education.

Tia’s contributions have been recognized through prestigious fellowships such as the Council on Foundations Career Pathways Program, the 92Y Belfer Center for Innovation & Impact Women inPower, and the Johns Hopkins University Leadership Program for Minority Managers.

Tia holds an MBA from The Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, complementing her academic foundation built on a BA from Loyola University of Chicago.
