Superpower: Crafting strategic communications that drive revenue growth and amplify organizational impact.

Rose Odengo is a communications specialist with nearly 20 years of experience building communication systems for for-profits and nonprofits backed by the Gates Foundation, Obama Foundation, Segal Family Foundation, USAID, World Bank, and FCDO.

Her expertise spans advertising, public relations, journalism, digital media, strategy, and training. She has mentored and supported grassroots organizations across Asia, Australia, Europe, North and South America and Africa through the Segal Family Foundation, Obama Foundation, and Non-Profit Builder.

Rose trains individuals and organizations in Communication for Impact, a strategic approach that drives revenue growth and scales impact. She believes communication is more than messaging — it shapes an organization’s vision and philosophy.

My path to the impact sector began when I worked as a journalist, encountering nonprofits across Africa doing remarkable work yet struggling to tell their stories. I shifted gears to help them amplify their impact. My family and friends describe me as loud, fun, and no-nonsense — qualities I bring to my work at Black Fox Global, offering fresh perspectives and honesty to drive meaningful change.

I thrive on new experiences — whether hiking through forests, going on safari in Kenya, or losing myself in the sound of the sitar and tabla at a classical Indian music concert. Passionate about nature, I find joy in moments like swimming alongside dolphins and sea turtles in Watamu Marine Reserve.
