Lisa Heinert brings more than two decades of experience in youth, leadership, and community development, with a focus on strengthening local organizations through all stages of growth. Her work is grounded in equity, sustainability, and regenerative systems, shaped by a career that spans rural communities and global teams.
Before joining Black Fox Global, Lisa spent over 12 years at Orkeeswa, where she led fundraising strategy, financial management, and international leadership development. She holds a master’s degree in Leadership Development with an emphasis in Educational Psychology from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Based in Pine Bluffs, Wyoming, Lisa enjoys backyard farming projects with her husband and children — gardening, beekeeping, and raising chickens and goats — and finds joy in reading and time outdoors.
I never imagined my economics degree would lead me to where I am today, but a single college course on rural community development changed everything. That class sparked an internship, which launched my career in social impact — first in the Midwest, then globally. My passion for this work is deeply rooted in my upbringing, where I saw firsthand how communities step up in times of need and celebration.
At Black Fox Global, I bring grounded leadership, deep listening, and adaptability to every project. Outside of work, you’ll find me gardening, reading, or exploring nature with my family, always learning more about regenerative systems that support both people and the planet.
