Superpower: Translating an organization’s internal logic into language that moves people!

Michelle is a fundraising and brand strategy executive with nearly two decades of experience advising mission-driven organizations on development, communications, and organizational growth. Over the course of her career, she has worked across conservation, higher education, and civic engagement, helping organizations clarify their value propositions, strengthen fundraising systems, and build the external engagement infrastructure needed for long-term sustainability.

Michelle is the Founder and CEO of Nonprofit Futures, a brand and fundraising strategy consultancy. As a consultant with Black Fox Global, she works with organizations to align people, systems, and strategy — helping leadership teams move from vision to measurable results. She is known for integrating fundraising, brand, and communications as a unified function, and for building the kind of donor relationships that hold over time.

Michelle holds a Master’s in Cultural Anthropology  and is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE). She serves as Vice Chair of Professional Development on the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Global Board of Directors and is a co-founder of the Social Impact Staff Retention (SISR) project, which measures annual staff engagement and turnover.
