Abbie’s development career spans nearly 15 years. She has extensive experience establishing and strengthening strategic partnerships within the philanthropic sector. She helps nonprofits achieve their fundraising and organizational goals to transform the communities they serve. Prior to becoming a consultant, Abbie worked in both traditional nonprofit and higher education development settings in various roles, including annual giving, corporate and foundation relations, grants and sponsored programs and major gifts.

A native of Virginia, Abbie earned her MBA in Public Administration from Old Dominion University. She also has a BS in Merchandising Management and Business Leadership from Virginia Tech.

Abbie is active in her community, serving on the Association of Fundraising Professionals Hampton Roads Chapter Board of Directors as the mentoring chair. She previously served as chair of their Fundraising Leadership Symposium, as well as a member of the National Philanthropy Day Committee. She also is a member of the Virginia Tech Hokie Club and the Virginia Tech Pylon Society.
